My wife and I recently took a four week trip to the desert southwest. For the first time in our lives, we had the time to drive approximately 7,000 miles. My wife drove as usual and I navigated (see Western United States section for explanation). We were blessed to visit all states between Alabama and Utah by driving on I-40 and I-70, state roads, country roads, dirt roads and roads that were even worse. We wanted the trip to last longer but neither of us could stand being away from our grandkid's hugs any longer.
